SOWO in collaboration with GODREJ KENYA (Manufactures of Darling hair products) launched a training centre at SOWO Cultural Centre-Nyangoma, Kogelo. The 3 months course has marked a pillar of SOWOs CSR policy, to foster the career development of local women in Kogelo.
The project strives to train local talent, develop their loyalty and encourage them to grow. They are given support and encouraged to build a career within groups on a local and regional level.
One of SOWOs main priorities in 2019 is to help member communities in accelerating strategic development by fostering the emergence of talents on the new growth markets. To achieve this SOWO has made use of the development of training programmes . The Project is geared to providing training, strategic guidelines and indispensable methodology.
The Godrej Kenya team makes learning materials available, such as videos or e-learning, tools and methods for monitoring training, all adaptable to local realities. The regions can thereby independently take charge of the development and implementation of programmes, with a high level of quality and consistency.
SOWO Team is grateful to Godrej Kenya for its partnership in developing local talents as close as possible to market
